We had no issues with noise from other guests, and couldn't hear people in the hall or the adjoining rooms. The pillows were soft and fluffy, and the bed was comfortable. It was all very clean and well-maintained. King bed, little kitchen, roomy bathroom. Beautiful view of the lake, and trees for miles. But I was absolutely so impressed with the entire Shanty Creek experience. I will start by saying that I am super picky about hotels. All of this for less than $100 per night I paid.Īfter reading some of these reviews, I had no idea what to expect. Our last stay at another hotel had 2 queen beds, a hideabed sofa, table and 2 chairs, lake view with patio and chairs, 55inch screen tv hanging on the wall not in a cabinet, beautiful pictures and on the top floor near the elevator like I always request. The Schuss Mountain at Shanty Creek ski area rents equipment for ski bums traveling light, and the Ski School offers private lessons, programs for children, and. The room did not even have a table and chairs to eat at. I found out that you have to request a room with a tub and shower if you want it. We were given a shower only (barely big enough for one person) and not a tub and shower. The room was farther than any other room from the main area or lobby. It was very hard to find an outlet to plug into. The room’s screen patio door was very hard to open. There were not enough towels and wash cloths for my party of three. It did not have any hangars to hang my wet coats up on. ![]() For paying over $200 for a one night stay, I was very disappointed in what I found. ![]()
